The Week Update (Issue #1)Posted: September 5, 2010 Filed under: Uncategorized 3 Comments »
I have been terrible about updating our family blog. So I have decided that every Sunday I will try to post something, a week in a review, so to speak. So here you go, here is issue #1.
Cooper’s second birthday is coming up at the end of this month on September 22. I cannot believe he will be two years old. Amazing! Where has the time gone? Chris is falling more and more in love with Cooper every day. Cooper is daddy’s little side kick. Every Saturday morning, Chris mows the yard and you can always find Cooper outside wanting to help daddy. He loves to push his pretend lawn mower that Aunt Sarah and Uncle Trent gave him. He is also very fascinated with the oil and gas cans. Chris has even taught Cooper how to kills bugs and say, “Eewww, Bugs!” while he kills them. Cooper loves to be outside and Chris loves that Cooper wants to be outside with him on Saturday mornings. It is so cute to see the two of them “working in the yard” together! Cooper continues to talk up a storm and his vocabulary increases every day. Cooper is turning into such a little boy. We are working on potty training, he pees in the potty more regularly now and still pooping in the potty! I am hoping to have him out of diapers by the first of the year. Also, he does not eat very often in his highchair anymore. He insists on sitting at the table on a regular chair with Chris and I. I am also not making him separate meals anymore, he pretty much eats what ever I make (but not always). Chris’s mom, also known as Mimi, took Cooper to see a dinosaur exhibit at the zoo a few weeks ago. Ever since then, he has been all about dinosaurs. He even watches a TV show called “Dinosaur Train” and LOVES IT! How much better can it get than that?, it has trains and dinosaurs in one TV show! I love my little man and I wish I could bottle him up and keep him this way. I know this phase of life will go buy fast so I am trying my best to cherish it while I can.
Anna May & Molly
Anna May (top), Molly (bottom)
These girls are CUTE!!! I love this age. They are going to be 5 months old next week. The first 4 months were rough for me. I think it was the hardest thing I have ever done in my entire life. Those first 4 months are almost a blur to be honest. I am not even sure how I survived at times. But I made it and the girls are still alive, healthy, and growing, so I must have done something right, haha. But yes, Anna May and Molly are so stinken’ cute I cannot stand it. Anna is my quite one, but she has the most beautiful smile and gorgeous eyes. She melts me just by batting her eyes and showing me that toothless open mouthed grin. Molly is my social butter fly. She has to see what is going on at all times. If you are burping here, you better make sure you have her positioned so she can see what everyone is doing because she doesn’t like to miss anything. Molly also loves her jumperoo and will spend sometime every day standing up in it and jumping around. I have a feeling that Molly’s personality is going to be more like Cooper’s- on the go and social. The girls are still wearing 0-3 months clothes, but they are almost out of them. At their 4.5 month check up Anna weighed 11 lbs 10oz and Molly weighted 12 lbs 1oz. They are still tiny, but I have a feeling once they start to eat solid food more they will start to put on the pounds (at least that is what Cooper did). The girls have eaten oatmeal, pears, and peas so far. They are still trying to get the hang of eating off a spoon, but they are slowly figuring it all out. The girls are sleeping well and napping better these days and I just hope they continue to do this to give me a little bit more of a break during the days 🙂 Oh, the cutest thing the girls do is hold hands. They always end up holding hands when they are laying down on blanket or while nursing. It is the sweetest thing. I love it when I get them up from a nap and lay them on a blanket before I feed them and they look over at each other and just smile at one another. It is almost like they are saying, “hey, I know you, where have you been? I’ve missed you and I am so happy to see you again.” Then they always end up reaching for one another and grabbing hands. Aww!!
Well I promise to be more faithful about updating the blog. I will try to get some more picture and movies up as well. Now that the girls are older, I am hoping things will run a little bit more smoothly! Happy Sunday to you all 🙂
Good job Momma Sue and Poppa Chris and thank you for the update!! I cant believe how big everyone has gotten, such a beautiful family! Hope I can get a chance to visit soon.
Hey, Drew loves Dinosaur Train. He yells, TIME TUNNEL!
Too cute! All of them!
Thank you for the update, it warms my heart to hear about the babies. Our children grow up so fast. I want to know how you and Lindsay will be 29 and I’m only 35?! 😉 Sending my love and hugs to all of you! <3
